Hook & Ladder Climbs into Virginia; Puts a “Penny in Every Pint” for Local Charity
DC Firefighters Burn Foundation President on hand to accept local brewer’s donation
Crystal City, VA -- True to their slogan, the Hook & Ladder Brewing Company presented a $2,500 check to the DC Firefighters Burn Foundation as part of their “Penny in Every Pint” program at the Crystal City Sports Pub last night. Former Washington Redskins Gary Clark, George Stack and Tony Peters were all on hand to celebrate the occasion.

Hook & Ladder Brewing Co. Moves Into Virginia
Without even turning on the sirens, the Hook & Ladder Brewing Company is blazing through Virginia (with several stops along the way). The beer company that was founded by a Maryland firefighter, donates a portion of all proceeds to help local burn victims, and makes two distinct award-winning beers, has landed in Virginia.

The Hook & Ladder Brewing Company of Silver Spring, MD, recently teamed up with The Winner Distributing Co. and the Firehouse Tavern in Carney, MD to donate a check for $6,000 to the Metropolitan Firefighters Burn Center Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting in the recovery of injured firefighters and burn patients in the Baltimore, MD, metro area.

Silver Spring, MD--Hook & Ladder Brewing Company was built on the principal of giving back to firefighters, and now, Baltimore’s newest beer is getting others into the act. Hook & Ladder, based in Silver Spring, MD, recently teamed with The Winner Distributing Company, a Baltimore beer distributor, and together will be making regular contributions to the Metropolitan Firefighters Burn Center Fund, a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting in the recovery and rehabilitation of injured firefighters and burn patients in the Baltimore metropolitan area

Serving Beer and Saving Lives
Hook & Ladder Brewing Company founder and firefighter lends a hand
Silver Spring, MD--Hook & Ladder Brewing Co. Chief Operating Officer Rich Fleischer hadn’t planned on being out that afternoon, but with the regular service technician out and with a restaurant in need of service, he did what any responsible small business owner would do—he did the job himself. The Bethesda pedestrian who was struck by a car that afternoon is glad he did.
